Work on this little course began at the start of 2026 whilst I was developing my three-week gel plate course, Print, Paint & Pattern.

While I was doing that, I was filling my sketchbook (because I love playing with different art materials) and I was really enjoying working on a smaller scale. That's when I discovered how much you can do with small ink pads, the same kind used for rubber stamp printing.

I turned my ideas into little sketchbook projects and this result, full of ideas that might nudge you to try something different. It's small scale, uses limited materials and you're welcome to add in whatever's in your own studio.

I loved putting it together, and I can't wait to see what you create.

What you’ll learn

Over the course of three video lessons I'll introduce my Creative Leap Method™ where we'll turn numbers into vessel and vase shapes. These will then be carved into small rubber stamps and paper templates used as stencils to create printed vase forms using the ink pads. To conclude we'll create two small abstract paintings, overlapping layers of colours using ink pads and paper stencils that'll create a kaleidoscopic effect.

You're going to be amazed by your outcomes!

Oh my goodness... your enthusiasm about your processes is contagious. A little way off printing, as expressive vessels taken me down a rabbit hole and for once I'm allowing myself to indulge in what I'm finding very meditative and relaxing.
