Materials

Basics

• Basic sketchbook or drawing paper, pencil and fine liner markers

• Watercolour or mixed media paper sketchbook or sheets. I use Hahnemuhle A4 sketchbooks

• Watercolours. Use what you have, I use limited colours from QoR's basic set of 12 colours.

• White designer gouache (use permanent, not zinc white).

• Black Inktense or Caran D'ache Museum aquarelle pencil.

• A medium sized potato and knife for cutting

• Extra regular copy or drawing paper for stencils

• Larger watercolour paper sheet I use Hahnemuhle Cold Press 300g

Paintbrushes

• Paintbrushes suitable for watercolour, In the course demo I use Silver Silk 88 Ultra round size10 (optional size 6).

• Flat brush.

• Optional dagger or angled and comb brush.

Other

• Dip pen

• Masking fluid in applicator

• Potato and knife for printing (butternut squash or yam can be used instead).

• I use a disposable paper palette for the mixing of watercolour paint.
