Welcome to Four Seasons, a mini-course inspired by trees, colours and the beauty of Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn.

I love trees as subject to use in art and would like to invite you to join me on this mini-course I developed in order to explore colour and creative processes.

What You'll Get

  • A full material list, the same materials that I use daily in my professional art practice.

  • You'll explore different ways to create four paintings of trees inspired by the seasons Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn.

 Materials List

Here's a list of recommended materials you'll use during this mini-course. I've added in my personal preferences and affiliate links through to Jackson's who ship internationally.

These are all the same materials that I use daily in my professional art practice. Click on the highlighted links to see the products I'm using in this mini-course.

Paper

  • Sheets of paper or a sketchbook, A4 (similar to Legal) or larger suitable for drawings with pen and pencil, extra paper sheets for cutting stencils.

  • Watercolour paper sketchbook A4 (similar to Legal) or larger All projects can be done in this book. Alternatively sheets or other card stock like Bristol paper around 300g (140lb) paper weight suitable for water-based mixed media.

  • I use Hahnemühle Cold Pressed paper 30x40cm in the course videos,  Arches Aquarelle  paper can be used as an alternative, but as mentioned you can adapt to use any mixed media paper.

Ink, Paints and Brushes

Other

  • Optional: Disposable paper palette or flat plastic disks (similar to the ends of a postal tube) for mixing paint.

  • Masking fluid with applicator.
  • Masking tape Glue stick 
  • Pen craft knife and scissorsSlice ceramic tools and Fiskars scissors are ideal for detailed cutting (use code ESTE10 for a 10% discount on all Slice tools).
  • Potato or carrot for printing and small dish sponge or cotton wool pads.
